Break media blackout with CDs
JD Lovrenciear | Nov 12, 07 5:46pm
The mainstream media have, as predicted, blanked out the true picture of the historic rally.

Foreign media such as CNN, Al Jazeera and Reuters have done justice to journalism in beaming the rally across the world. Our very own patriotic Malaysians have also been doing their share of disseminating a host of photos via their blogs.

It was most moving to witness the elderly and young, male and female of all races assemble from across the country, standing in peaceful solidarity for justice and democracy. However, the brutality and gross indecency of the police force’s high handedness has destroyed any hint of respect for the uniformed men and women.

Perhaps, the opposition parties and non-governmental organisations should assemble various video clips and news reports from international media onto a CD to be distributed nationwide. It could also be screened at gatherings and special meetings so that the folks in the countryside and outside the federal capital are able to witness the truth.

Let this be a post-rally action as many millions do not have access to the Internet.
