The axe falls on Sarawak Tribune

A Sarawak institution, the 60-year-old Sarawak Tribune, is no more following its indefinite suspension by the government yesterday.

Guangming suspended for two weeks

Guangming Daily becomes the second newspaper to be punished for publishing a photo depicting caricatures which insulted Prophet Mohammad.

Offensive cartoon: Oh no, not again!

The past two weeks saw punishment being meted out on two newspapers for publishing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. Will the NST be the next victim?

TV2’s caricature bungle - here’s the proof

Malaysiakini has obtained a copy of the footage where state-owned RTM's TV2 had aired images of the controversial caricatures of Prophet Muhammad.

Second Sarawak daily suspended

Another one bites the dust - Chinese-language afternoon daily Berita Petang becomes the third newspaper to be suspended by the government.

Cartoon row: TV3 too

It’s not only state-owned TV2 which aired the offensive caricatures of Prophet Muhammad. Malaysiakini obtained a clip of similar images shown by private station TV3.

A not-so-funny cartoon witch-hunt

Like many others, we too have been wronged by New Straits Times. But we do not believe that the government should take punitive action against the Umno mouthpiece.

Caricatures: We're sorry, say TV3 and ntv7

After the New Straits Times (NST) proved the effectiveness of an unconditional apology, private television networks TV3 and ntv7 have followed suit.
